San Diego Comic-Con has gotten so large over the years that the activities have spilled outside into the Gaslamp District… and beyond. Some highlights this year were:
The Experience: Found near Petco Park, this parking lot was transformed into a mini carnival featuring food trucks, Ghostbusters World (photo op with the original Ecto-1), Shark Week (photo op with Sharkzilla and free shirt), Project Blue Book (new show on UFOs to air on the History channel), and the Samsung QLED Gaming Experience (basically a plug for the new tech along with a Forza 7 Motorsports demo).
Purge City (see our story HERE)
FXhibition: Taking center stage once again on the lawn of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel, FXhibition featured innovative installations from hit shows such as Legion, American Horror Story, Mayans M.C. and Archer.
Star Trek Discovery Gallery (see our story HERE)
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Hyper-Reality Experience: Attendees got to step into the shoes of a deadly black-ops spy. Based on the upcoming Jack Ryan series premiering on Amazon Prime Video August 31st.
