We’re just one month and one day away from the start of San Diego Comic Con 2019, and while we’ve seen a few Marvel SDCC 2019 Exclusives announced to date, the bulk of them should begin to be revealed over the next week or two. And the King of Exclusives itself—Funko–revealed their own offerings today: the SDCC Exclusive Funko POP Wong, Minn-Erva, comic Gamora and… Man-Thing!

With Funko’s unchallenged status as the King of Exclusives—especially when it comes to San Diego Comic Con—there was never even the smallest droplet of doubt that we’d be getting some Marvel exclusives from them for SDCC 2019.

And while some years we’ve had a larger selection of exclusives, this year’s wave gives us a truly varied and interesting batch with an even split between items for comic book fans and items for MCU movie lovers!

On the comic books side, we’ll be getting one character that’s all-new to Funko, as well as another that getting her first comics-based love: Gamora!

We previously saw comic book-based Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon as limited exclusive POP Vinyls, and now the Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy is joining her teammates! Could the other two iconic comic book Guardians of the Galaxy—Drax and Groot—be on the way as well…?

The all-new character is definitely a surprising one, but is also one of my favorite niche characters: the first ever Funko POP Man-Thing! Surprisingly, Man-Thing’s not as cute as I expected—perhaps because of his wide stance looking off—but this is a character I always buy every toy of, and this will be no exception.

For comic book fans, there’s an entry from each of this year’s Marvel Studios movies. For the Avengers Endgame collectors, POP Wong will finally join Doctor Strange in battle! With his spell effects pieces attached to both hands, Wong has a nice action-packed look to him. He could look a bit chubbier, but I’m glad we’re finally get him at least!

The last of the four 2019 SDCC POP Exclusives is from Captain Marvel: Minn-Erva of Starforce! After we got POP Korath at Emerald City Comic Con this year, I was secretly hoping we’d see Minn-Erva get a similarly limited release.

I wouldn’t mind if Funko did a Bron-Char for NYCC 2019 in October, but if Minn-Erva is the last Starforce member that we get, I can live with that. At least poor Yon-Rogg has some backup in this line!

For those not attending SDCC, have no fear: all four of these Marvel exclusives will be shared exclusives with other retailers. The Man-Thing POP will be available online only via EE and won’t be in stores; Minn-Erva will be at GameStop (website and stores); Walgreens gets Wong; and Gamora will be at Hot Topic (website and stores). I’ll update this article and send out links via the MTN Facebook and Twitter pages once those go live for order.
