#HotWheels partners with NFL draft pick Tee Higgins

Following the NFL Draft ealier this week it was announced that top prospect and Clemson Tiger Tee Higgins is partnering with iconic cultural brand Hot Wheels to donate $5,000 worth of toys to the Boys & Girls Club in Greenville, SC. Hot Wheels has been a part of Tee’s life growing up in Tennessee, and Hot Wheels is excited to work with Tee to bring his passion full-circle as he takes the next step in his career.

It all started when Tee’s aunt tried to bribe him with 5 Hot Wheels die-casts for every 2 touchdowns he scored as a way to get him to wear his football pads in the scorching heat, creating a deep connection between Hot Wheels and his football career since a young age. Tee has gone on to be one of the top college recruits across the country and is projected to be a first-round pick later this week, embodying the same challenger spirit that’s beloved by Hot Wheels fans.

“It has always been my dream to play in the NFL and take care of my family as well as my community. Giving back to the youth in the community is a priority for me and appreciate Mattel for working with us to do so. As a kid, my mom and aunt used Hot Wheels to motivate me to do well on the field. I’m excited to hopefully spread some motivation and positivity to the local kids during this unknown time.” – Tee Higgins

“The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Greenville is honored to receive support from Mattel and NFL draft pick Tee Higgins. Their generous donation of Hot Wheels to our Club members is certainly more than just the toys themselves. It reminds our youth that they have a community of support who loves and cares for them and is invested in their future. With role models like Tee and others like him, we know that our Club members will continue to feel community support and learn the joy of giving to others.” – Major Andy Kelly, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens and Oconee Counties
