Heavy Metal Art: House of Gog Debuts with Pascal Blanché “Moonstone” Statue

380939._SX1280_QL80_TTD_Looking for some hardcore, high-end original sci-fi sculpture to add to your collection? House of Gog has just the thing.

Based out of Canada, House of Gog (houseofgog.com) packs more than 20 years of high-end toy and statue production experience. Their mission: to bring to life the rich universe of the world’s best and coolest artists, by creating high-craftsmanship, original and limited premium art statues and prints.

Launching this new endeavour is Moonstone, a premium art statue based on the work of world-class digital artist Pascal Blanché. Standing 18.75 inches tall (10.5 inches wide), the polystone resin statue stuns with futuristic post-apocalyptic detail and bold otherworldy color. If the sculpture reminds you of something you’ve seen before in Heavy Metal magazine, you’d actually be correct. Moonstone graced the cover of Heavy Metal #270.

6aWwbYYWhat’s extra exciting about this statue, aside from its awesome looks, is that it provides multiple ways to display it. Collectors can choose the default pose of the “Demon Hunter” (pictured above), featuring the female warrior donning a skeletal headdress and armed with an assault blaster. Collectors can also opt to alter the statue to “Blademaster” mode (pictured below) with the inclusion of a high-tech helmet and harpoon gun. These extra parts swap out with powerful magnets and a small additional display stand is included for when these pieces are not being used – a very nice touch.

Moonstone is available now to pre-order exclusively at houseofgog.com priced at $780 + shipping (flexible payment plans are available). The piece is strictly limited to only 400 units worldwide (no more will be produced). Production for Moonstone is completed (as shown below) and pre-orders will start shipping in the next 2-4 weeks. In otherwords, get those orders in while you can!

And what does the future hold for the House of Gog? Company co-founder P-A L’Esperance says that they have “a full wave of art statues from Pascal Blanché’s original art in the pipeline” as well as “other amazing world-class artists committed to future House of Gog releases.” We can’t wait to see them!
