Toy Fair New York 2019: Playmobil Latest News February 18, 2019 Every kid loves Playmobil, and lots of adults do too! At Toy Fair New York 2019 we got a tour of the Playmobil booth, paying special attention to a few of the displays. First up was the DreamWorks Dragons collection, expanding right now with products from the latest sequel. On hand were Hiccup and Toothless with Baby Dragon, Light Fury with Baby Dragon and Children, Deathgripper with Grimmel, Hiccup and Astrid with Baby Dragon, Astrid with Hobgobbler, Ruffnut and Tuffnut with Flight Suit, Snoutlout with Flight Suit, and Fishlegs with Flight Suit. Who you gonna call? Just in time for Ghostbusters Day (June 8th) and this year’s anniversary are some really cool Playmobil sets aimed specifically at collectors. First is the Ecto-1A and the team from Ghostbusters 2. The Ghostbusters Collector’s Set brings you all four of the original paranormal investigators in one box, while Collector’s Editions bring you each character in a 6 inch tall format, all of which arrive in Playmobil-first window boxes! Playmobil is hitting the big screen with Playmobil the Movie, and you can bring home the action with the sets we saw: Figures Series 1, Rex Dasher with Parachute, Robotitron with Drone, Marla with Horse, Charlie with Prison Wagon, Marla and Del with Flying Horse, Del’s Food Truck, Emperor Maximus in the Colosseum, Marla in the Fairytale Castle, and Rex Dasher’s Porsche Mission E. The last main section we checked out took us to the red planet with the Mars Mission. First up is the incredible Mars Space Station, a huge complex with rotating pods, a working airlock, removable roof, and more. Then there’s the Mission Rocket with Launch Site, with its own unique parts, some of which can interact with the sections of the Space Station. Also on hand were the Astronaut and Robot Duo Pack, Mars Research Vehicle, Satellite Meteoroid Laser, and Mars Rover.
