(NEW YORK, NY – August 13, 2019) – SYFY WIRE, the premier editorial brand for fans of sci-fi, fantasy and horror, has launched the all-new original digital series COSPETS, hosted by SYFY WIRE’s Whitney Moore.  Available on SYFY WIRE’S YouTube channel, the 8-episode series features guests who are fans of cosplay and looking to get their beloved pets in on the action. A consultation with resident costume designer, Katheryn Renfroe, leads to out of this world pet transformations complete with tailor-made costumes inspired by characters and creatures from the worlds of sci-fi, fantasy and horror. COSPETS is produced by the NBCUniversal Digital Lab.

Special guests this season include Lilly Singh, host of NBC’s new upcoming late-night show A Little Late with Lilly Singh (premieres September 16th on NBC), YouTube personality and comedian Hannah Hart (My Drunk Kitchen) and Instagram’s favorite tortoise Rocket Larry (#rocketlarry).

• Episode 1 “Hannah & Charles” (Debuts Tues 8/13): Comedian and YouTube personality Hannah Hart (My Drunk Kitchen) is in for a surprise when her hairless cat, Charles, gets a whole new ‘cattitude’ when outfitted as a caped space sheriff!

• Episode 2 “Taylor & Elliotte” (Debuts Tues 8/13): Actress Taylor Plecity’s dreams come true when her dog, Elliotte, is transformed into an intergalactic space captain.

• Episode 3 “Matt & Pierre” (Debuts Tues 8/13): Matt Elias’ French bulldog Pierre (Instagram #pierre_dont_care) gets the costume (and abilities) of a futuristic telepathic four-legged action hero. Fantastique!

• Episode 4 “Kayra & Menace” (Debuts Tues 8/20): Kayra’s bearded dragon, Menace, is transformed into an even more menacing sea serpent.

• Episode 5 “Lilly Singh & Scarbro” (Debuts Tues 8/27): NBC’s newest late-night host, Lilly Singh, (A Little Late with Lilly Singh) sees her canine best friend, Scarbro, transformed into her sidekick protector.

• Episode 6 “Christine & Larry” (Debuts Tues 9/3): Rocket Larry might just become the speediest tortoise in the universe with his time travel makeover.

• Episode 7 “Chloe & MisTricks” (Debuts Tues 9/10): Chloe Gunther Chung’s diva dog, MisTricks, gets a full superhero makeover.

• Episode 8 “Christine & Harlock” (Debuts Tues 9/17): Treated like royalty by owner Christine, Harlock her cat is transformed from prince to pirate.
