DC Collectibles dropped a bunch of announcements last week before New York Toy Fair 2018, but they still had some cool surprises for us in their booth as well as displays of all their newly revealed toys, statues, and beyond. We started our tour with the Batman The Animated Series collection which is going strong with over 40 figures produced to date, and going forward DC Collectibles is looking to expand the world even further. Notably the Joker and Harley Quinn Action Figure Expression Packs will allow you to customize your displays with tons of different heads and expressions as well as other character-specific accessories. DC even went directly to the original control art for these to make sure the faces were absolutely perfect!

After debuting last year the unique Artists Alley line has had a lot of success, bringing you new versions of familiar characters thanks to hot up and coming artists. The next is Nooligan Saulique with a series of Batman, Joker, and Harley Quinn in a really fun style. These PVC statues are priced just right at $40, and like the first series will come in core versions in runs of 3,000 as well as variants in only 500, this time straight black and white. The fold open packaging for these includes an art card and a bonus blank card so you can get a sketch by Nooligan at a future convention. Later this year Murase gets a series too featuring Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman, whose variants will be candy red and green for the holiday season.

The solicited Teen Titans Multi-Part Statue set looks really nice in person, officially signed off by George Perez with that great classic style. These will be coming out two per month so you can get your favorites or collect them all to fill out the full display. Speaking of collect them all, the Batman Black & White statue series continues with Batman by Becky Cloonan and Batman (with incredible detailing like a map of Gotham on the inside of his cape!) and Joker by Gerard Way. Next up will be the horrific Batman Who Laughs from the current Metal series by Greg Capullo! This is truly Bruce Wayne like you’ve never seen him before complete with spiked headdress and rictus grin. The Harley Quinn Red, White, and Black series continues too with Harleys by Philip Tan and Michael Turner based on key cover art.

Bombshells are more popular then ever, and DC is returning to their roots with a new version of the very first character captured in statue form, Wonder Woman! She’ll be joined this year by a duo of Batman and Catwoman that has a ton of great little details, and then a Joker’s Daughter designed by Jim Fletcher. Meanwhile, the duo of nurse Harley Quinn and Joker are coming to the Bombshells action figure line with alternate parts to display them in their famous kiss or separately. Batgirl of Burnside is the next Cover Girls statue, with Gotham Garage expanding to include Supergirl and Batgirl.

DC Collectibles’ new venture “Gallery” brings really unique items to collectors, and at NYTF18 they showed off the insane 1:1 scale Joker bust by Rick Baker. This thing is really creepy in a fun way and will be a centerpiece for anyone who can afford the $1,000 price tag. Also in the Gallery are prop versions of Two-Face’s coin (marked 1942 for the year the character was introduced) and a snazzy new Joker’s cane.

New additions to the Designer Series of statues will be Michael Turner Supergirl, Jim Lee Superman in his revamped Action Comics 1000 costume (with trunks!), Batman Metal by Greg Capullo, and Red Hood by Kenneth Rocafort. Newly revealed at Toy Fair is an upcoming Trinity statue by Jason Fabok, and Brian Bolland’s 7″ statue Joker from The Killing Joker will be joined by an all new Batman as well. Lastly Jim Lee’s entries into the Batman Black & White, Superman, and Wonder Woman series will be rereleased in a three pack featuring full color paint jobs (Fall, $175). Other statues on display included the DCTV Black Lightning with actor Cress Williams likeness and the fantastic DC Core PVC entries. These 9 inch scale statues have great character designs and action while being highly affordable at only $50. On hand were Joker, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Batgirl, each with cool character-specific bases.

In the action figure section we got to see the recently revealed lineup of Doomsday Clock figures (2-packs of Ozymandias/Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach/Mime, Comedian/Marionette) as well as new entries in the 7″ Essentials line. Each release will pair a hero with a villain, with this year’s collection starting with Batman and Deathstroke, Superman and Brainiac, then Flash and Reverse Flash and finally Aquaman and Black Manta ($26 ea)!
