Marvel Select Endgame Hulk Figure & 1:2 Ragnarok Bust!

It’s not just a good week to be a Hulk collector—it’s a great week to be a Hulk Collector! Not only did we get the announcements of a Hasbro SDCC Exclusive and a US release for the Bandai SH Figuarts movie figure, but Diamond Select Toys is getting in on the love for the Jade Giant as well! Whether you’re an action figure or bust collector, DST has you covered with their newly-orderable Marvel Select Endgame Hulk (with Nano-Gauntlet!) and 1:2 Scale Ragnarok Bust!

Marvel Select Endgame Hulk Figure with Nanon GauntletA couple days back, an image of an alleged Avengers Endgame Hulk Marvel Select figure leaked out onto Instagram, which Diamond Select Toys couldn’t confirm at the time. But we didn’t have to wait too long for that confirmation, as the figure was in this month’s batch of official DST solicitations today!

At over 9” tall and with a 100% unique sculpt for under 30 bucks, Diamond Select is giving us a real deal with this oversized Avengers Endgame movie Hulk figure, in my opinion. The sculpting on the Quantum Suit/Team Suit looks excellent, and the 16 points of articulation should be sufficient for a brawler like Banner.

While we’ve only got this one image to go by for now, the solicitation text verifies that the figure will come with interchangeable hands—including fists and the Nano Gauntlet.

The only big downfall of this figure in my mind is how the Mark Ruffalo portrait looks on this first image. The likeness is a bit questionable to my eyes, and he has this expression that gives me the feeling that he’s like: “Hulk… bored! Meh.” It doesn’t feel like a good match for the Nano Gauntlet or fist hands yet, but maybe DST will win me over once this appears at conventions this summer.

Legends in 3D Ragnarok Hulk Bust Diamond Select ToysMeanwhile, the Marvel Legends in 3D line continues with its second movie-based bust (after Black Panther): a Thor Ragnarok Hulk bust! I have the Venom and Deadpool busts that kicked off this Legends in 3-D series, and am very impressed with the size and level of detail for resin statues that cost just around 150 bucks.

I wasn’t wild about this particular 10” half-Scale Bust at first glance, but once I went back and looked at screenshots and clips of how Hulk looks in Ragnarok, I felt a lot better about it. I think the Gladiator costume would have been a lot cooler of a choice, but this is a nice item for what it is.

The DST Marvel Select Avengers Endgame Hulk figure and Ragnarok Bust are now up for order, and expected to be released in November 2019. Both items are very reasonably priced (at $29.99 and $174.99, respectively), and I have no doubt these will be fast sellers for Diamond Select—especially with the 1:2 bust limited to 1000 pieces produced.

Do either of these collectibles of Bruce Banner’s alter-ego catch your fancy, Marvel collectors? How do you think the Endgame Hulk Select compares to the Bandai Figuarts and Hasbro Legends versions? And has anyone besides me tried out the Legends in 3D busts yet? elec
