Hasbro and Marvel broke records over the weekend as their new HASLABS Marvel Legends Sentinel project achieved FULL funding for the 6000 piece minimum just 24 hours.  All previous HASLABS project took many more weeks and much more sharing of information and “sweetening” of the pot to reach their goals for the Star Wars Sail Barge and Transformers Unicron.  The Haslabs Cookie Monster replica failed to fund in the allotted time.   But, the Sentinel blew past its initial goal and has already seen two of it’s stretch goals unlocked!

Saturday morning many fans woke up to this news:

Well, that was quick. Goal: CRUSHED The X-Men Legends Marvel’s Sentinel is officially going into production! But let’s not stop there! If we hit 7,000, we’ll share details on the first unlock.

Marvel Legends Fans, you have until August 24th, 2020. Let’s do this.

Later on Saturday afternoon, the news came that orders had passed the 7000 unit stretch goal, and fans were treated to their first stretch goal surprise: and alternate head so your sentinel can become MASTER MOLD!

“This unit is now MASTER MOLD.” The X-Men Marvel Legends Sentinel HasLab project has reached an amazing 7,000 backers and unlocked the Marvel Legends Master Mold alternate head accessory! A big thank you to all of our awesome fans who have backed this project so far. The next tier will be unlocked at 8,000 backers!

The text on the order page was updated to say:  Fans – We will not be updating the backer count overnight. Check back in the morning for updates! Thank you all for your support!  That made some fans nervous and upset that the Marvel Legends team might actually be able to enjoy their weekends without have to log on and provide hourly updates, but Hasbro let everyone know on Sunday via email and social media that the campaign had surpassed the 8000 unit mark, and it was revealed that all orders will also come with a 3rd battle damaged head (which even if you don’t use on the figure is cool to have on the ground as part of your inevitable diorama set up showing a defeated brother bot).

This unit has sustained critical damage! The X-Men Marvel Legends Sentinel HasLab project has reached an uncanny 8,000 backers and unlocked the alternate battle damaged head and hand accessory! The next tier will be unlocked at 9,000 backers!

At last update they were more than halfway past the 9000 goal so expect another stretch goal reveal coming soon!
