Eaglemoss Toy Fair 2018 Preview: DC, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica

With Toy Fair just around the corner (and literally two blocks away from its New York headquarters), Eaglemoss Collections is offering fans of everything from DC
Comics to Star Trek and beyond a pre-show glimpse of what’s new and noteworthy for 2018.

Fans of the award-winning animated adventures of the Dark Knight will have much to celebrate as Eaglemoss’ second wave of limited edition figures based on Batman: The Animated Series are shown for the first time at the booth #5407 (pictured top). Joining BATMAN, PENGUIN, HARLEY QUINN and POISON IVY in the collection are BATGIRL, THE RIDDLER, MR. FREEZE, CATWOMAN, TWO-FACE and SCARECROW.

Officially authorized by DC Entertainment, each figure is approximately 5 inches tall, has been cast in metallic polyresin and comes in retro-style packaging along with a thoroughly researched and illustrated 12-page magazine.

JL Animated Group

Adding to the animation-fueled excitement is Eaglemoss’ inaugural wave of officially authorized figures based on the now classic Justice League animated series. The initial lineup from the show’s first season includes BATMAN, MARTIAN MANHUNTER, WONDER WOMAN, SUPERMAN, THE FLASH, GREEN LANTERN and HAWKGIRL. Approximately 5 inches tall, each has been cast in metallic polyresin and is packaged with a highly detailed, illustrated 12-page magazine.

GROUP AllStarsEaglemoss’ first foray into collectible vinyl will be also be introduced at Toy Fair with the initial wave of iconic heroes and villains in the DC All-Stars Figurine Collection. These meticulously sculpted 1:14 scale figures span the rich history of DC Comics, from Action Comics #1 through to “Rebirth,” and include BATMAN, ROBIN, WONDER WOMAN, SUPERMAN, THE FLASH, HARLEY QUINN and THE
JOKER. Each is impressively detailed, rendered in high quality vinyl and comes with an in-depth, beautifully illustrated magazine.

SHENZHOU_cutout_UPDATESwitching from capes and tights to the final frontier, two of the most talked about starships of the Star Trek universe will also pull into port at Toy Fair. The U.S.S. SHENZHOU NCC-1227 and U.S.S. DISCOVERY NCC-1031 – the first two ships in the Official Star Trek Discovery Starships Collection – are limited edition models based on concepts and designs taken directly from the hit CBS series, Star Trek:
Discovery.DiscoveryClose to twice the size of the ships featured in Eaglemoss’ bestselling Official Star Trek Starships Collection, these ships have been cast in a specially formulated metallic resin and high-quality ABS materials, then hand painted with reference to actual CG models used in production.

Under license by CBS Consumer Products, each ship also comes with a special collector’s stand, and an in-depth magazine featuring behind the scenes info, original design sketches and a breakdown of onboard technology and members of the crew.

Viper

Staying in space but shifting to different universe, Eaglemoss is proud to display the first two models from the new Battlestar Galactica: Official Ships Collection. Both the Viper Mark II and Cylon Raider are based on concepts featured in the renowned 2004 Battlestar Galactica TV series. Each hovers around 10” in length and has been brought to life in die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials (this particular Viper belongs to Kara “Starbuck” Thrace) with help from members of the actual Galactica VFX team.

Cyclon Raider

Officially authorized by Universal Studios, each ship comes complete with a 16-page collector’s magazine providing an in-depth profile, exclusive behind the scenes articles, original design sketches, and an interview with series developer Ronald D. Moore. These and other Eaglemoss figurines, ships and vehicles for the discerning collector will be on display at Toy Fair at Booth #5407.
