One of the biggest surprise announcements to come out of Toy Fair was Diamond Select Toys’ new line of Lord of the Ring action figures. The first wave of figures – Gimli and Legolas – are now available for pre-order through many fine retailers, including Entertainment Earth where the pair are priced at $44.99. These are scheduled to ship this Fall.

Each 7-inch scale figure features 16 points of articulation, detailed sculpting and a full range of accessories. Most exciting is that each figure also includes a piece of Sauron (below). Collect all six (6) figures in the initial LOTR series to build the 13-inch villain!
