Set in the 18^th century, prepare to take control of powerful nations and work to expand your territories while gaining supporters in this exciting game of conquest! Empires, designed by David Y. Stephenson and Daniel G. Stephenson, will test your skills at negotiation as you buy, sell, and trade goods, people, gold, territory, power, and so much more as you work your way to gain the most Support among the other nations.

First choose a nation like Spain, Russia, France, or Great Britain, and then begin growing your empire. All actions are taken simultaneously, and trades can happen at any time during the game. There are very few restrictions on what you can trade, so plan accordingly and acquire the right resources to satisfy your Supporters. If you can’t give the people what they want, then they will Revolt and you will begin to lose power.

Not good at making a deal? Take gold to the battle field, raise your armies, and fight off other players to gain the best bounty the lands have to offer. The choice is yours, but choose wisely. There are only five rounds of play before the game is over, and whoever has earned the most Supporters within that time is crowned the winner.
