I arrogantly thought that I had a pretty good handle on what Hasbro Star Wars Exclusives we’d be seeing in stores tonight and tomorrow for Force Friday II, but Hasbro has totally put me in my place with a huge number of Star Wars Black Series 6″ exclusives I was not expecting! Chief among these are a pair of Amazon exclusive troopers that have appeared out of nowhere: the Amazon Exclusive Black Series Elite Praetorian Guard and boxed First Order Stormtrooper are now up for order!

Uh, what…?! In this day and age of leaks galore in the toy world, even the tightly-guarded Star Wars Force Friday events hold few secrets from astute collectors… or so I thought!

Hasbro has done a tremendous job pulling the wool over our eyes this year, and there are quite a few figures going on sale tonight that I’ve never seen or heard of before. Bravo, Hasbro!!

Two of the most unexpected–and coolest–figures on that list of eye-poppers are the two Amazon Exclusive Black Series 6″ figures going on sale tonight: an Elite Praetorian Guard and a boxed First Order Stormtrooper!

The Last Jedi Black Series Elite Praetorian Guard 6″ figure comes with a humongous stave that I’m honestly not sure how Hasbro is going to fit into the package. Of the three versions of the Praetorian Guards, I think this one may be the absolute coolest.

In addition, Amazon has a Deluxe First Order Stormtrooper that comes with eight (!) accessories including a backpack, blasters, riot gear shield and baton, and even a Heavy Gunner vest! Basically, this is the First Order Stormtrooper for folks who want to be able to make any FO Trooper that they want.

There’s a downside to all this customizability, though: a $34.99 price tag that I’m not convinced many collectors will be willing to pay. Maybe this will be a surprise fast-seller, but I feel like this is going to end up discounted by the end of the year.

The Star Wars Black Series Amazon Exclusive 6″ figures are now up for order online. The figures are listed as “out of stock, but shipping when available”, so hopeful they’ll ship out soon. If last year’s Shadow Trooper helmet is any indication, these figures will likely sell out fast, so don’t delay on hitting the order button quickly at midnight if you want these.
